Futures mourns loss of little fighter

FEBRUARY 2010 - Little Jordyn who was born in July of 2007, had dealt with many health issues related to having Abernathy Syndrome. On December 10 she received a liver transplant, but sadly passed away from complications on December 21 at the age of 2.

“She had the most beautiful smile and enjoyed the camera,? said Paula Diver, her early childhood special education teacher. “Jordyn never wanted to be out of hearing or seeing distance of her big sisters and had to be in the middle of whatever they were doing. She loved Blue’s Clues and drawing on paper. Jordyn never let her limitations deter her from learning to move around her environment. She was blessed to have the support of family and grandparents on a daily basis.?

“Our Futures family is saddened by the sudden loss of Jordyn and our heart goes out to the family,? says Paula.

Jordyn’s mother, Casina put it well when she said, “Jordyn was a little miracle that didn’t last long enough.?
