Workshop morphs into a Farkel Factory!

July 2010 - The Matthew Washington Center has transformed into a Farkel Factory! Production workers are performing three assembly steps to assist the company Legendary Games based out of Wichita in building their Farkel games. To view a recent news story on the company, click here.

“Summer is Legendary Games’ most busy time. They had a lot of overflow so we are helping to assemble the excess they are unable to put together in their shop,? says work products specialist, Mike Corrigan who procured this contract. “We hope to have this contract for a long time, but like I said, we are just working on overflow right now. Whether or not they’ll need us from week to week will depend on how many orders they receive for Farkels.?

“It’s just fun!? says Carol while she works on the first step of the assembly along with her fellow production workers which is punching out the foam squares which yields space for the dice to go when everything is packaged into the case. “It’s a lot better than down time,? Carol continues referring to the activities they engage in when there are no current work projects available to keep them busy. “Thank God!? Justin pipes up at another table referring his gratitude to have work. Carol replies, “I agree, Justin.?
