Frog Street is a high-quality, research-based curriculum. The curriculum provides intentional instruction in key areas of development so children can effectively continue on the path to kindergarten readiness. The teachers work in partnership with parents and community partners to support a child’s learning and development.
The program serves children in Wellington ages 3-5 who meet eligibility requirements. Full-day and half-day preschool options available. Specific preschool services—Head Start, special education and pre-k—are designed to serve the unique needs of the children in our communities and are delivered inclusively. We regularly invite the whole family into the programs we offer to support the family’s well-being through health and safety as well as promote parent leadership and advocacy. This all comes together beautifully to support a child’s development and readiness for school.
Preschool is offered in three formats:
Child Check is a developmental screening that offers families a quick snapshot of a child’s ability to learn, speak, move, see and hear. Referrals are made when a child needs further evaluation or special services.
Since all children develop differently, parents may wonder if their child is on the right track. Checks are provided at no cost and are by appointment only.
Child Checks are held once monthly.
